![]() With the announcement of Macrium Reflect free being retired, I decided to take a closer look at Hasleo Backup Suite. Part 1 – Hasleo Intro And Backup Features Make sure to check out all 3 parts for the full review. Other than CBT (which doesn't really buy me much), both Systems are running in lockstep. This is part 1 of a 3-part review. After some initial testing back aways, due to its success I made it my main secondary imaging System, and with the release of v4, was able to duplicate my Macrium REFLECT backup structure completely, including all my GFS-type scheduling and image retention features. They are a very active and very responsive Development team. I know that during their recent development phase (Dec22-Dec23), almost every user requested feature has been added along the way (most probably not even aware of in their own discussions). Even in discussions with them, I haven't been able to determine what kind of roadmap they have for HBS. Other than things like MIG and CBT with REFLECT, this version of their program is pretty powerful and very useful. At the moment, it hasn't even been discussed internally. They have been asked if this software will remain FREE, their answer was that a commercial version may come along sometime in the future and at that time, they'll decide cost. They say the only reason they do that is that they need some sort of predictable income to continue doing all this other type of development. ![]() Some of their software is PAID for commercial licenses only, most is actually FREE. ![]() ![]() ![]() They are also the same team that has developed all the original EasyUEFI applications. The HASLEO Corp name is actually registered in the US, but the development team is from China. Their process is also a bit faster than the equivalent Macrium REFLECT process. I was not able to break it (tried lots of weird stuff). Their Delta Restore feature was tested heavily by me during their v4 BETA process. ![]()
